December 2013 Missions Update

Greetings in Jesus name. We are sorry we have not been regular at sending you our Mission’s update. Our schedules suddenly tightened up amidst increasing challenges. Thank you so much for bearing with us and your consistent partnership. God bless you richly.

Missions Training
Between the last time we sent you report and now, God helped us to accomplish some of our targets for the year. Firstly, we held the 2013 session of the Advanced Missions Leadership Institute (AMLI). 31 top mission leaders from 13 Christian organizations cutting across Chad, Botswana, Niger Republic, Cameroon and Nigeria were in attendance.
2013 Set of the Advanced Missions Leadership Institute(AMLI)

The intensive training lasted for 12 days with very seasoned faculty which include Dr. Bitrus Audu of Christ Missionary Outreach, Bro Tokunbo Salami who is the current chairman of NEMA, Pastor Joseph Egwuda who is Presiding Elders of Chapel of Goodnews groups of Churches, Pastor Gideon Ekele of Fortress Ministry, Israel Olowokere, the Research Secretary of CAPRO, etc. It was awesome time in God’s presence. Like one of the participants, former Deputy Commissioner of Police and General Overseer of Christian Life Evangelical Ministry (CLEM), Rev. Dr. Peter Okoh remarked, the training helped to confirm the originality of their vision and strategy of doing mission and helped rekindle their fire to go and do much more than what they are doing in capturing the remaining unreached nations for the Lord.

Our regular School of Cross- Cultural Mission program is also in top gear. The students are currently on field trip and by God’ grace in March 2014 they will round up and be deployed to very needy fields. We are thankful to all those who contributed to the training need of the school of Cross-Cultural Missions and those that provided sponsorship for the current students. Also, with the peace that has returned to Jos, our enrolment in 2014 will be enlarged. 14 students have been shortlisted for admission for the one year program. They include candidates from Malawi, Niger, Ghana and Nigeria. They are plus seven of their children. In addition to the tuition cost, we will be feeding the 14candidates, the seven older candidates and eight of their children, totaling 28 persons. The cost will be definitely staggering but we have chosen to go ahead as the bulk of them will be working with our organisation upon graduation. We want to plead with you to please kindly send us sacrificial support to enable us produce the much needed missionaries for the darkest nations of the world.

Ministry to Orphans, Vulnerable Kids & Widows
Praying for 30widows who were each given brand new wrappers
Secondly, our ministry to orphans, vulnerable kids and widows remained on course. School fees of all the kids at the Home of Grace (HOG) have been paid with the exception of two- Jacinta and Comfort. We trust God that the school fees of those two will be settled soon to enable the school allow them to participate in writing the end of term examination. Also, thirty widows were given one brand new wrapper each and we have bought Christmas clothes for all the Home of Grace kids. We received fairly used clothes from three families about the same time. There were huge blessing that many from the mission fields and the mission’s base benefited from. We are extremely grateful and pray that, the lord bless all the donors.

Conversions from Muslim Background
We have also seen God do mighty things in the area of convicting souls. Just last month, a young boy from a hardened Muslim family rode his bicycle to our base and shared his struggles. Jesus had appeared to his father on his death bed. His father called him and his siblings and encouraged them to surrender their lives to Jesus just before he died. After his father‘s death, the other members of his family took his father to be insane but for the boy, the message continued to hunt him. He eventually surrendered his live to Christ. Pray for him as he is already been thoroughly persecuted. We have had several cases of such supernatural conversions across some of our mission fields. Pray that God will sustain them in faith and that they will yield to proper discipleship.

Missions House Projects
As we continued to labour over souls, we also did the much we could on physical structures. The mission house at Kamberi mission field has been roofed. We have also bought some doors and windows and floored one of the rooms. We still trust the Lord for funds for plastering, the remaining flooring work, ceiling and the remaining windows and doors before the end of this year.

At Bolu field, the project is virtually stagnant. We got a designated donation of N30, 000 towards the project which will be used to buy cement for laying of bulks. The foundation was completed with stones, blocks have been assembled that will take the building to window level. We thank God that the old mission house with big crack is still standing. It is however risky to continue to live in it. We are praying for more funds to complete the new project. We have completed the ground floor of the Furaka mission house, we are trusting God for funds for the decking now. This will gulp close to N 1.2 million.

Conclusion
Again, thank you so much for being part of this work and may the Lord replenish your source for all your sacrificial, financial and prayer support. Please, keep us in prayers on these points.
1.            Growth of all the new converts especially the Muslim background believers that they will yield for discipleship and withstand all the persecutions.
2.            Pray for divine protection for all our missionaries and for financial provisions. Our monthly upkeep allowances have been inconsistent because of inadequate fund.
3.            Pray for fund to complete all our building projects especially the mission house in Kamberi, Bolu, Furaka, the Church building in Zull and for fund for the new work at Papiri and Benin Republic.
4.            Pray for fund to complete the school fees of the Home of Grace kids for the 1st term before their examination and pay fees for the 2nd term effortlessly. We are almost running out of food. Pray that God will provide fund to get more foodstuff. Pray for divine protection for Ayuba Ajikovi serving at the border of Gombe/Yobe State.
5.            Pray for fund for the tuition fees of our 2014 set of students resuming in January 2, 2014. We will require N1,575,000 fund for both tuition, feeding etc. and N480, 000 for the feeding of their eight children for the year.
6.            Thank the Lord for the progress made this year in all front
God bless you richly.
His bondservant,

Andrew Abah
