Missionary work at all level and in any country is not devoid of the cross. The last lap of my ministry in Brazil was really tough. Travelling from Alta-Parnaiba to Sao Paulo by road through the terrors of the night and perils of the day, through rivers and road for almost four days was not a fun. I missed my flight. I could not take bath during this number of days. I was fortunate that my tooth brush and paste were handy. In most part of the jungles, internet was not working. Consequently, my Ipad compass and google translator were rendered useless. I literally missed my way. My handset batteries were dead. I lost contact with family and relations for a while but enjoyed angelic interventions several times. All through, I felt the warmth of your prayers. I thank God that I eventually made it.
Ghana
From Brazil, I moved to Ghana where I served as the main speaker for the Ghana Congress on world Evangelisation at Suhum, Eastern Region of Ghana. Again, God’s presence was conspicuous. Many surrendered their lives to Christ for the first time. Backsliders were restored to faith and no fewer than 50 persons responded to altar call to serve as missionaries. I concluded my Ghana trip with a preaching engagement at Ocean of Life Ministries and visits to some of our MET trained pastors in Accra and Tema city.
South Africa
The annual Missions Festival at Pretoria, South Africa was a huge success. As usual, we mounted an exhibition stand where we solicited for partners for the ministry. I had the privilege of making presentation at the plenary session on Windows to the World. I also handled a seminar on the Middle East and North Africa Harvest. They were all very fruitful sessions and responses are still pouring in as at the time of this report. To round up my stay, I had open door to minister at the Cornerstone Assembly in the North of Pretoria and Pretoria Central. The response were both encouraging.

Niger Republic
Our Kwalan-Gobirawa missionaries, Issa and Rahila Maliki reported that two more persons have surrendered their lives to Jesus. One of them, Manga testified that since her conversion, her life has been completely transformed. Before her conversion, she was always full of fear and finds it difficult to sleep at night because of bad dreams like dog pursuing her. With prayers and constantly listening to the word of God, all these have become a thing of the past.
Manga has a history of persistent miscarriage. Pray that having surrendered her life to Jesus, she will conceive, sustain the pregnancy and deliver a baby of her own. Her mother is showing interest in accepting Jesus into her life but is struggling with leaving the Bori cult because she gets income to sustain herself as a widow from the practice of the cult.
One of the converts who had backslidden, Issa Tukuoa has come back to the faith. Pray that he will not go back to Islam again and remember the three others who are scared of taking such decision even though they have known the truth. Some of these people have serious needs which we desire to meet. Pray that God will provide the required fund so we can practically show this people the love of Christ.
Cameroon
Our field leader in Cameroon, Issa Damaka alerted us of his plan to resign and handover the work on Kaikai field to another missionary. This is the climax of close to two years pressure from his wife and other related issues. We hope the decision will make way for re-strategising on how best to confront the work in the north of Cameroon and move it forward.
Nigeria
The work in Bolu has posed the biggest challenge in terms of response to the gospel of all our work across the nations. The resistance in the first few years was unparalleled. After many years of consistent labour, God showed up and a handful of the people began to make decisions for Jesus. This was after we began to meet their physical needs like digging of well, adult literacy and primary school program, occasional medical services, etc. Unfortunately the only well we dug has crumbled. The people now share the same source of water with the livestock. This water dries up during the rainy season. At least N800,000 is needed to provide a borehole that will provide lasting water for the people. Pray along with us for a miracle of that hefty sum.
The missionaries at Bolu as well as all the other Nigeria fields in general and Bauchi State fields in particular covet your prayer for divine protection. They are exposed to many dangers especially with the current ongoing massacre by the Boko Haram sect. Many religious leaders have been killed in Bauchi State. Ladi Ekpa at Bum who lost her only son early this year still covets your prayer. Naturally, the pain lingers. Pray for divine comfort for her. Benjamin and Esther at Zull request for prayers for fund to fix doors on their church and complete their mission house. Sunday Musa of Kamberi, Yohanna and Rahila Musa of Lambo are trusting God to resume work on their primary school building and mission house respectively.
Unreached Children Home
Our kids did very well in their last examination. They are ready for the new school session. As usual, we are counting on you for their return to school. Jonathan secured admission to Trinity Academy to kickstart his Junior Secondary School. Mary and Racheal have been promoted to their final year in the college and have to pay for both NECO and WAEC exam in addition to their normal school fees. We will need to get textbooks for all the remaining kids. This will cost very hefty amount. We trust God to bless you so you can be a blessing to these hitherto vulnerable kids and orphans. Please, put smile on their faces.
Conclusion
Thank you for your partnership. We will continue to count on you as we cover more ground in the ember months. Pray specifically that God will help us to conserve the fruit of the first eight months especially those that gave their lives to Christ and those that volunteered to become missionaries. On our part, we will continue to uphold you in prayer, trusting that God will richly bless you and all your needs. We are extremely grateful to God to be blessed with partners like you.
His bond servant,
Andrew Abah
