October 2010 Missions’ Update

Greetings from the Lausanne Congress here in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. We praise God for helping us through the months of September and October 2010. They were very busy and fruitful times in God’s vineyard. We are again very grateful to you for your ceaseless prayer support.

Latin America Crusades & Missions Campaigns
I concluded our Latin America Crusades successfully and returned to our home base in Nigeria. Altogether, the Crusades took us to over 30 cities. I continue to get feedback from the various places where we preached and we are grateful to God for the souls whose lives were affected ~ many got saved and many others were healed and delivered from various oppressions of the enemy.

West & Central Africa Staff Retreat

Grace Foundation’s staff from different fields across West and Central Africa met in Jos, Nigeria to seek God’s face for fresh grace and strategy. We thank God for journey mercies He granted us and His mighty presence. Some of the missionaries came sick and discouraged. They left the retreat healed, strengthened and encouraged.

The retreat was concluded with our annual intensive Staff Congress during which some reorganizations were announced. These include the relocation of Godwin Adejo Ogwuche from Benue State, Nigeria to Brazil in South America where he is expected to work under the supervision of Evangelist Douglas Jr. to teach Brazilian Pastors English Language so they can do missionary work in English Speaking countries, engage in mission mobilizations and other evangelistic crusades, etc. Stella Ella will assume full leadership of the Benue mobilization office fully from March 2011.

South Africa Mission Training, Stellenberg Church and the Lausanne Congress

We also continue to partner with the Missions Exposures and Training (MET) in Pretoria, RSA through screening and presenting seasoned Christian leaders for training and exposures to different areas of missions. I was privileged to again teach four courses including World Evangelisation, Information and Communication Technology and missions, etc. The students consist of six Pastors from Nigeria. We also have other Christian leaders from Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana and South Africa.
The Lausanne Congress at Cape Town, South Africa kicked off just after my schedule ended at MET on October 16, 2010. While in Cape Town, I was privileged to speak at the first two services of the Stellenberg Church. The church was pastored by our friend and partner, Rev. Willem Marlherbe for 20years. We had heart-warming feedback of how God blessed the members through the messages preached.

Local & Other Foreign Fields

We are extremely grateful to God for honouring our persistent labour on our resistant local fields. Moustapha and Josephine Oumarou reported that God is doing awesome things among the Bolu people group now. Sometimes, they record over 20men and women that come to church. Though not all of them maybe said to be genuinely born again, but this is a gross departure from the past when sometimes we have less than five persons attend church service after almost 10years of labouring among the people. Reports from our missionaries revealed that the work on Kamberi, Zull, Dir and Dukawa are equally moving on well. In Niger, we have more Muslims knowing and embracing Jesus as Lord. Cameroon and Chad fields are not doing so well but they are not stagnant either.

Unreached Children Home (UCH)

September is usually a very difficult month for us because of the beginning of new school year and the financial cost implication. We are however grateful to God for seeing us through so smoothly this time following responses from our dear partners. Mary and Racheal were moved from Excellent Bridge College to Little Angel College following serious decline. They are both in SSSI now. Blessing Idu has moved to SSS 2. Effort to get admission for Salisu Cirom into Remedial program is yet to get through. Ayuba Ajikovi is in 300 level now at the University of Jos. He improved tremendously in his GPA last session. All the kids in primary school resumed with all the textbooks they need. The bulk of their fees have also been paid. We pray that God will reward all our partners who sacrificially made all these possible.

One of our new missionaries from the Dogon-Nahawa area that was invaded by Muslim Jihadist in February is seeking for help. He has two kids (male) in Secondary school needing God fearing partners that they will stay with who will cater for them like their own kids. It is a form of adoption. We will be glad if interested partners could contact us.

Needs/Conclusion

To sum up, we again want to register our deepest appreciation for your consistent sacrificial partnership. We are making progress. This is because you are there for us and God’s presence has continued to cheer us up consistently. Please, keep praying for us. Most of our building projects need to be completed. Some of our missionaries need medical check up and other welfare need. Some of the missionaries need fund to take care of their children school need. We need a bus very seriously at this stage of our work. If God bless you as usual, please remember to help meet any of these needs.

On our part, we are praying for you. Your source will never run dry. The Lord will shield you from every evil and bless you on all sides.

Again, we appreciate you very deeply. Maranatha!
