Missions in the Amazon Jungle of South America

Greetings from the Amazon jungle of South America. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and it comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world. Brazil in particular, a country of over 200million persons still has 20% of her population that is unreached but with no fewer than 500000 Churches in its 5500 cities. The church is vibrant, full of love but most of her missionary effort is focus on the Portuguese nations. They can do a lot more. That is one reason God brought me here to stimulate the church to play more significant role in world evangelisation.

God opened the door to this part of the end of the earth in the early part of this year but I entered in August following delays in securing visa. Since arrival, God has helped me to preach in 14 crusades across 12 cities. Scores of persons embraced Jesus as their Lord and saviour and hundreds experienced healing and deliverance from different kinds of oppression. Mission mobilisation also featured in some of the cities especially in the Recife region. Hunger for God is severe. The reception has being unparalleled. God has been really good.

We are grateful for all your prayers and your financial support. As usual, foreign missions are capital intensive but according to Hudson Taylor, God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. We choose to carefully obey His instruction and take advantage of the doors God is opening to contribute our quota to world evangelisation. We appreciate God for carefully choosing you to partner with us. Your partnership has meant so much to us. We are grateful
