July 2009 Missions Report on Nigeria Fields

DIR AND PELU FIELDS

We have continued with our reorganization to enable us get maximum result from our various fields. Joseph and Victoria Adah have resumed in Dir field fully. Joel Dukiya who was in Dir was drafted to foreign mission and is still working on his new field in Benin Republic. Musa Magaji and Matthew Ganu who took over from Joel earlier are now to relocate to Pelu where they are to start a new work among the Peluawa people group of Bauchi State. This will mean trusting God for fund to start a mission house project where they will reside – at least three room apartments.

KAMBERI FIELD
Sunday Musa has continued to use his animal production skill to advance the gospel among the Kamberi and the Fulani groups. Barnabas and Fatima Haruna reported from Kuble station that more people are coming to the Lord. Their efforts at constructing a mission house have not been fruitful because the mud blocks molded were damaged when the rain set in. We may have to wait till the next dry season. We have bought three bundles of zinc and we will need two more. The Church at Lambo has been partially completed. The villagers are trooping in to worship God there but we are sill believing God to fix the doors, windows and to plaster and floor it. Thank you for helping to bring the project to this level and please consider tidying it up. The missionaries, Yohanna and Rahila Musa are very committed to the work. Please, pray along with us for the fruit of the womb for them. They have been married for over 10years without an issue.

BOLU FIELD

The Bolu mission house project has been completed at last despite the formidable opposition from the pit of hell. While, we were at the verge of completing it, the building tore apart but with your help, we refused to give up. Today, the building has been completed and occupied. This has caused a setback for the church building project. We already have cement blocks to complete the block work and zinc on the ground for the roof. This project has lingered long enough. Please, pray along with us for help from above. Again, we are grateful for your support thus far.

ZULLAWA AND DUKAWA FIELDS

Zull work is progressing with the deployment of Ladi Ekpa and Mary Ojile. The primary school has been revived and the Bum youths are responding to the gospel. The two missionaries were professional teachers before God called them. Samaila and Sabatu Luka are working hard in discipling the Dukawa people. The youths are responding well but we need to pray for the adult. Their daughter, Alheri was very sick and lots of money was spent on her. Please, pray for sound health for every member of his family.
