GFIM Makes Input in MET, South Africa

As part of our networking activities, the International Director of Grace Foundation Inland Missions, Rev. Andrew Abah recently served as Resident Director of the Missions Exposures and Training(MET), Pretoria, South Africa. During the period, he also lectured the MET students on The Unfinished Task and taught African Traditional Religion and coordinated a workshop on Local Church Missions.

It was very intensive as God helped him to expose the participants to various world religious centers such as Buddhist, Hindu, Hare Krishna and Islamic propagation centre. He led the students to visit several churches, para-churches and mission agencies that are playing significant roles in world evangelization. Lectures and presentations were centred on key issues that church leaders need to know to effectively get involved in the missions enterprise.

The last two weeks were most eventful. He led the team to the biggest missions' station in the world – Kwasizwabantu, and it was such a great eye-opening. Three Canadian friends of MET, Barry, Jeff and Ralph Peters joined us, and their presence was quite cheering. On their way, their bus almost ran into a group of Zullu people who were drunk and armed with bows and arrows loitering on the highway. In a bid to avoid hitting the people, the bus brushed a slow moving jeep. The miraculous escape was beyond description.

The great insight and enlargement God granted the Kwasizwabantu mission is quite inspiring. In addition to their primary assignment of reaching the people, the mission produce water and export to five countries, they have computerized farm, radio station, College of Education, a food processing factory and a 10,000 seater capacity church. One of the Directors who was the tour guide stressed that they don't raise fund from any where rather, proceeds from their investment is used to support all their missionaries and other mission groups. It was awesome.
