AUGUST 2015 UPDATE - Praise & Prayer Bulletin

Dearly beloved,

Calvary greetings in Jesus name. We thank God for bringing us to the month of August 2016. We have experienced His mercy in all fronts. Thank you also for laboring with us all through to see our vision for the unreached people come to pass. Below is our update but note that because of the sensitive nature of our work among some tribes, we may not disclose locations, the name of missionaries and converts in this medium. For further details, we will send direct reports to your mail. All our prayer point are marked in red color.

Salvation/Discipleship across the fields
Joel Dukiya & family at the foot of the Zaranda Mountain
Almost all our mission fields in Nigeria and abroad recorded new cases of men and women who surrendered their lives to Christ. Some of the converts are being heavily persecuted, and we still covet your prayers for the grace of God for them to stand. Our missionaries are following them up. We have older converts reconciled with their siblings. Please, pray for divine protection for all our missionaries because of the dangerous nature of the mission fields where they are located. Pray also for our cousins from the bondwoman that are in the process of making up their minds.
We have a massive scale of famine in some of our fields in the North East of Nigeria. Pray that God will bring them help on time and that our other cousins from the bondwoman will not use material help to confuse them and convert them to their religion.

Fields project
As part of our efforts to strengthen our missionaries, we continue to pray for resources to complete all our mission/church projects on the mission fields. In answer to our prayers, the Mission Support League (MSL) funded the plastering and flooring our mission house in Dukawa field with the sum of N100,000. The missionary couple, Sayeri and Sadiya Musa has moved in and are incredibly grateful. They (MSL) had bought grinding machine early in the year and support the missionaries.
Kamberi Mega worship hall
On Kambari field, the missionaries felt the need for a big building where all their converts from over ten mission stations can meet for combine worship and training. They on their own raised money at the field level and built up a very big church now at lintel level. The Ocean of Life Church in Accra, Ghana has helped us to purchase thirteen (13) bundles of zinc.  Pray that the Lord will provide the remaining 12 bundles of zinc, wood, nails and carpenter’s workmanship to complete the roofing. We covet your prayers for resources to complete Kamberi church building project as well as the mission house in Ahole, Niger Republic.

The Bolu Mission field motorcycle is still with the police. The police post at Tasha-Durumi that was in possession said they had transferred the case to the CID headquarters in Bauchi. We got some influential persons to intervene, but sadly, the motorcycle still has not been released. Pray along with us for divine intervention. You may recall that we reported in June 2016, that armed bandits snatched the motorcycle, and some of our Fulani neighbors gave the robbers a hot chase and collected the bike for our missionary. In the process, one of the Fulanis was killed by the robbers. Since then, the police seized the motorcycle.

Mission training
Head of Training & Finance on field supervision - From Dir to Bolu
Our missionary trainees that were sent to several mission fields for practical exposure for two months have just returned. We praise God for very fruitful ministry. Join us to pray that the Lord will help us through the remaining part of their training that Christ is fully formed in them. The food situation at the school of Cross-Cultural Missions is critical. Please, pray for immediate divine intervention. The inflation rate has affected our budget very badly.  Preparation is also in top gear for the 2016 session of the Advanced Mission Leadership Course commencing on October 17-24, 2016.  Six of those we screened for the Missions for Church Leadership (MCL) program in South Africa have secured visa. Five of them have purchased their tickets.

Home of Grace (HOG)
Home of Grace (HOG) kids at Abuja
Priscilla & Blessing on their matriculation day
God has continued to breathe on our labor over orphans, missionary kids, and vulnerable kids. The children are growing physically, spiritually and academically. In the just-concluded term, Daniel Daji and Yakubu Abel and Dan-Asabe came first.  Micheal Vincent came second and Gods power Alexander came third. They were taken to Abuja on a two week holiday as a reward. During their stay in Abuja, they visited places like Jabi Lake, Shoprite, etc. The next school session will resume on September 12th, 2016. Please, join us to pray that God will provide over N300,000 needed for their text books, school uniform, school fees, etc., and above all for foodstuff. The price of foodstuff as indicated earlier is on the increase. Two of our daughters, Priscilla John and Blessing, made it to the University of Jos in the last admission. They have both registered and resume lectures. To God be the glory.

Research update in the Middle Belt of Nigeria
Part of our passion is to see the middle belt region of Nigeria which is our 'Jerusalem' combed with the gospel. In pursuit of this, we had in collaboration with other mission leaders and organizations to mobilize the churches in the middle belt conducted several research projects aimed at identifying the remaining unfinished task.  The latest research report was presented to 660 stakeholders in Igala missions that converged under the platform of the Igala Missions Summit recently at Ankpa, Kogi state. The summit was devoted to verifying the research report which indicates that 205 villages still have no single church, 192 villages have church but no single pastor in Igala land. The final copy of the revised data bank on the unreached communities in Igala land is expected to be out in the next few months. Also, the research on the Bassa is at its conclusive stage and will be presented at the Bassa Missions Summit while the one for Idoma nation is still being worked on.

Mobilization Conference
At Heritage Chapel, Benin
We had series of intensive meetings across the nation in the month of July 2016 focusing on mobilizing the body of Christ to engage the remaining unreached people. The Overcomers Convention at the Living Bread Assembly, Iwo focused on Grace to impact the Nations, the Heritage Word Banquet Focused on the missionary Christian and the National Students/Youths conference held at our mission headquarters, witnessed heavy downpour of God’s help. Many persons responded to the call for missions in all the conferences. Join us to pray that the fruits of all these meetings will abide and advance God’s kingdom in the dark places of the earth.

Conclusion
We are eternally grateful for all the input you have made to take the work to this height. May the Lord bless you richly. You are consistently on our prayer list and please join us in thanking the Lord for some of our brethren that just got involved in partnering with us by adopting three of our missionary couples. Some also indicate interest in sponsoring some field projects. Pray that God that give seed to the sower will continue to bless them with all they need to fulfill their promises.
