June 2016 Missions Update

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank the Lord for keeping us alive and His service till this moment. He has been very faithful. Thank you also for your partnership. God has consistently used you to make a huge difference in our ministry, to those residents in the dark places of the earth.

Narrow Escape
Join us to praise God for the deliverance granted to our missionary at Bolu field in
Joel Dukiya and his brand new m
Bauchi State. He was attacked by armed robbers and his brand new motorcycle was snatched at gunpoint. Some of the Muslims, who attend our adult literacy class, accosted the armed robbers and collected back the motorcycle but not without paying a very high price. The armed robbers shot them. One of them died instantly. The others are still in intensive care unit in the hospital. The police ceased the motorcycle claiming that until they complete investigation, the motorcycle will not be release. Please pray for the family of the deceased for comfort and for the fund to pay the hospital bill of those shot in the process of accosting the robbers to collect back the motorcycle. Pray for divine protection for all our missionaries.
Also on that same field, two women who have also resisted the gospel for several years surrendered their lives to Christ. They are under severe persecution. Please pray that God will strengthen them to stand.

Mission Training
SOCM Graduating students
The 22nd batch of our School of Cross- Cultural missions regular students have completed the first quarter of their training and will proceed for practical exposure on the mission field for the next two months. Please pray for divine protection and funds for their upkeep during their stay given the increase in the price of foodstuff.  A process for the batch 23 is on, but the most of those indicating interest has no fund to pay their fees. Pray that God will help settle their bills.

Home of Grace (HOG) Update
Home of Grace growing kids
At Ahole, in the Niger Republic, one of our Home of Grace kids was involved in a motorcycle accident. He has a severe fracture and is currently receiving treatment. Please pray for quick recovery. All the HOG Kids both in Nigeria and the Niger Republic are doing well both in their studies and spiritually. We covet your prayers for the younger ones.  They are at a stage in their lives where peers can easily influence them negatively. Also praise God for the awesome way He has been supplying our needs especially foodstuffs that the price has so badly skyrocketed. Pray along with us for the outstanding school fees. Priscilla John and Blessing Iduh have completed their clearance and are In the process of registration. That is a big advancement for us in our effort to put smiles on the faces of the orphans. Thank you for partnering with us to accomplish this.

Mission house projects
In March 2016, we got a support of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) designated for the kubule mission house project. The project is on, but the fund is grossly inadequate. We also got one hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N150,000) towards the Libentee mission house/ discipleship center at the Benin Republic from the Gospel Bankers in April 2016. We have sunk all the money in molding blocks. We are praying for more funds to continue from that level. The project will gulp over.
At Ahole in Niger Republic, the mission house built with mud is fast collapsing. The missionaries have molded sufficient cement blocks for a new mission house. Recently, the missionary couple got two hundred thousand (N200,000) naira from a local contribution they were involved in and sacrificially invested it in the project by buying rods for the pillars of the building. We are praying earnestly for another N1.5 million naira to begin work on the excavation, blending, raising of the wall as well as roofing. Please join us in prayers.

Mission mobilization conferences
With the increasingly staggering volume of the unfinished task, more laborers are desperately needed. We engaged in partnering with other organizations to organize meetings across the nations for mobilizing forces during the period under review. One of such meetings  was the Idoma Mission Summit(IMS 2016) which held at Otukpo, Benue State of Nigeria. It was very fruitful. Many persons responded by volunteering to engage in reaching the unreached people. We will hold another in collaboration with Nigeria Evangelical Mission Association (NEMA) at Kogi State University on June 29th- July 1, 2016, and an Igala Missions Summit(IMS 2016) at Ankpa on July 14-16, 2016. In addition, we also have several events put together by churches and organizations where we will be speaking between now and August. We covet  your prayers for open heaven for all the meetings, and you are welcome to join us in any of the events close to you:
v June 16th – 20th New Covenant Church Ibadan
v July 1st– 3rd – National Youth Mission Conference Jos
v July 8th-10th, 2016, - Overcomer's Convention at Iwo Osun State
v July 28th- 31st,2016- Evangel Conference at Gombe, Nigeria.

Conclusion
As I sum up, I will like to thank you again for your numerous support over the years. We can imagine how the ministry would have to be without your support. Thank you so much for being such a great encouragement to us. Our annual return is up-to-date with the Corporate Affairs Commission, and our external auditor has submitted the draft of their report for 2015 financial year. We have a deficit of close to N2million. We can send you a copy upon request. Our finances have continued to decline. We earnestly covet your prayers. It has never been as bad as the last two months. Most of the support that came in are designated, and we are left with a meager amount to sort out the upkeep allowance of our missionaries. Many of them, especially the second generation missionaries heavily depend on it. In the face of the sharp drop in our finances, we are getting more laborers in answer to prayer which is generating more responsibilities. This is certainly a difficult season for us here.  We count seriously on your prayers. God bless you richly God bless you richly. Be sure that we are praying for you.
His bondservant,
