UCH REVIEW STRATEGY

Over 10 years of seeking to give hitherto unreached kids a meaningful future, the ministry recently drastically reviewed her strategy of running home for the kids on the mission fields. Consequently, a decision was reached to move the kids to the mission headquarters in Jos, Plateau state capital. The reasons are:

* The need to reduce the spiritual warfare mounted on the kids by those who do not want them live. You will recall that the culture of some of the people encourage that kids be put to death if their mother die when they are still kids.

*Secondly, some of them have been very sickly and will require to be closer to standard hospitals until God fully heal them. We lost baby Victor after over one year of striving to keep her alive.

*Thirdly, the recent destruction by windstorm of our only four-classroom block which services the UCH is a major setback which we are yet to recover from. The primary school will resume under the tree in the next two weeks with little or no facility.

* The relocation will afford us more volunteers who will be willing to give us their time to take care of the kids than its original location on Kamberi field and finally it will provide more platform for more kids from other tribal groups from outside Niger state which was the original hosting state.

With God’s help, we have brought five of our kids to join the ones in Jos amounting to eight. We have limited ourselves to this number because of limited accommodation coupled with financial implication. We have seen a land we plan to build a house on, that will accommodate 50 unreached kids. Almost N2.5million($19230) will be required for the land and the structure. Pray for God to provide the fund for capital project and fund for recurrent expenditure like school fees, uniform, books, food, etc.
